hi guys!

Di na ko makahintay…just wanted to share some additions to the Tower of Superman…...soon to be completed...estimate is 2nd week of July, 2004...

Amplifier/Pre-Amplifier:
Wiredstate Tono 300B Single-Ended Triode Amplifier (**using NOS Mullard 5U4G and NOS Philips 6SL7) and
Wiredstate Tono Pre-Amp (**using NOS 12AU7 RCA Black Plates and NOS Sylvania 12AU7)

Image

Source/s (CD Player):
**TEMPORARILY, I’m using a Nextbase 785 DVD Player as my source/player, planning to borrow Sir VD’s Monarchy Audio DAC and VDH Digital Cables…haven’t really decided (yet) but it’s a toss-up (close fight) between the Cayin CDT-15 and the Jolida JD-100, both are Tube Output CDPs, 24-Bit - haven't formalized my order yet

Image

Speaker/s:
**MONITOR AUDIO SILVER S6 FLOORSTANDERS 8)

Image

Speaker Cable/s:
Ecosse Reference Cables 2.3 with WBT Banana Locking Plugs

Interconnect 1:
Eichmann Express 4 Interconnects Series 2 (Used for CD Player to Pre-Amp Connection)
Inteconnect 2:
Eichmann Express 4 Interconnects Series 1 (Used for Pre-Amp to Amp Connection)

Other Accessories:
Castle PLF-200 Power Line Conditioner/Filter

thanks and god bless!

I hate to tell you this, but I had experience in one shop in Singapore wherein the Quietline Noise Sniffer was used on the Castle Line Conditioner, and it didn't cleaned up the AC line due to the loud audible sound coming out of the Sniffer.

Superman,

Galing Pare!. This is totally different from your previous setup, except for the Tono 300B of course.

How is your Marantz turntable? Is it the original tonearm? You're using the M92-E cartridge, how do you find it? I have an M92-E installed as well on my Technics, and an M44G on my Luxman. IMHO, the M92-E is intended for HomeAudio and the M44G is more for DJs. I like the M92-E better, although you might say it sounds manipis, but the details are far more better than that of the M44G. Let me know your own observations.

Are your neighbours in Planet Krypton not complaining yet from the sound of your new setup?

Cheers! :)
